Genoa, beaten by her partner for 2 years: woman has a 49-year-old arrested. The employer fired her for “not having problems”
Two years of continuous violence that cost her body marks, widespread trauma, the rupture of the nasal septum and even the loss of her job. A woman from Genoa has finally found the courage to turn to the police to tell the mistreatment suffered by her partner, a 49-year-old who has now been arrested by agents. Insults and rescue accompanied by daily blows, up to the trip to the emergency room and a report with a prognosis of 30 days.
It all began about ten days ago when the woman, exhausted and terrified, crosses the threshold of the police station of Sestri, in the western city, where she finds a team of operators specialized in dealing with the crimes of the Red Code and tells them that, with two children a loaded and a marriage behind him, eight years ago she meets the man with whom she begins a relationship. Heavy words become insults, insults below, words come together.
The first violence begins in 2019 and will not subside. Indeed, they will continue to increase until the complaint a few days ago. In 2020 the woman also decided to report the relationship, but this only made the situation worse: the ex came to her, even in the workplace, insulted and attacked her. He came to throw a bottle of beer at her and beat her and only the intervention of a few passersby blocked the escalation of violence. Never a complaint, however. Not even when her boss, after witnessing the umpteenth assault right in the workplace, decided to fire her: “I don’t want problems”, was the only explanation.
But this last injustice did perhaps to trigger the need to turn to the agents, who started the investigations. After a series of quick investigations, the police discovered that the man had previously been followed by a mental health center. He uses alcohol and psychotropic drugs, but above all against him he already has precedents for mistreatment of his ex-wife, elements of accusation that trigger the urgent request for a precautionary measure against him, issued by the investigating judge of Genoa after the evaluation of the situation.
