The day before, Vladimir Putin met with the laureates and finalists of the Teacher of the Year of Russia competition. The head of state met with the prize-winners, laureates and finalists of the All-Russian competition “Teacher of the Year of Russia” – 2021 via videoconference. The 29-year-old Khabarovsk history teacher Dmitry Morozov took part in a big conversation with the president, and was included in the top five prize-winners of the federal professional pedagogical competition.
A teacher from Khabarovsk, addressing Russian President Vladimir Putin, raised several topics at once. Among them: the multimedia park “Russia is my history”, as has already been done in 23 Russian cities, the opportunity to use such a resource as “Pushkinskaya Karta” in the development of schoolchildren. The question of falsification of history was also proposed on the example of the “Khabarovsk trial”.
In response, Vladimir Putin agrees why “you need to use the entire arsenal of today’s means”… and that “it is important to know what happened where, when it happened, to know the date,… names. In order to understand what this led to what results. That is, in my opinion, why historical knowledge is important and what is needed for. This ability to analyze, understand what tasks the country faced, in what ways the tasks were solved and what results we achieved, will give us the opportunity to look: what should we do today in order to ensure tomorrow. ”
– We are proud that a Khabarovsk resident entered the top five winners of the “Teacher of the Year of Russia – 2021” competition. We have the best teachers. And this also applies to schools and kindergartens, and vocational education, and additional education. We have someone to be proud of! As for the appearance in our region of the multimedia park “Russia is my history”, we have long thought about it and have come to it. Three sites have already been selected for placing this unique project in Khabarovsk. Soon we will decide exactly where he will appear, – Mikhail Degtyarev noted.
At the same time, in the Khabarovsk Territory, from September 1, the All-Russian program of popularization among the culture of youth, the so-called “Pushkin Card”. It is already used by tens of thousands of schoolchildren and students from 14 to 22 years old. All events available for visiting are published on the PRO.Kultura portal. On the territory of the region, a number of cultural institutions have already joined the program – these are theaters and museums.
– I gave instructions to expand the list. It is important to take part in private cultures, and the card is extended to touring events. So that young people from remote regions can take advantage of the “Pushkin Card”, the Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory added.
Let us remind you that in September Khabarovsk hosted for the first time an international historical forum dedicated to Japanese war criminals “The Khabarovsk trial: historical significance and modern challenges.” The initiator of this forum was the governor of the region, Mikhail Degtyarev. At the plenary and discussion platforms, they discuss the Khabarovsk trial in international law, and also consider the possibility of studying a historical event in secondary and higher education.
– As for such a historical event, how will we continue to tell the younger generation about what this Far Eastern tribunal means in world history. At the forum, we presented declassified archival documents of several Russian departments that were previously not available to a wide audience. The exhibition was named “Far East Nuremberg”. Documentary chronicle of the Khabarovsk trial ”. And now the exposure will be permanent. She works in the military history museum of the VVO. Together with the leadership of the Eastern Military District, we are planning in the future an exhibition of historical evidence of the crimes of the Kwantung Army and, where the Khabarovsk trial took place, in the District House of Officers. The forum “Khabarovsk Process” itself is of unprecedented importance for understanding the overall place of the Far Eastern region in the history of the Great Patriotic War and the Second World War, – says Mikhail Degtyarev.
