There are already prices and dates for the arrival of HBO Max in Europe (but Portugal has to wait) – Telecommunications
WarnerMedia has already announced the data and prices for the new HBO Max streaming service that is about to arrive in Europe. According to The Hollywood ReporterEntertainment company executives shared that six countries in Europe will see the renewed service on October 26th.
Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Andorra will be the first European countries to have access to HBO Max. A transition to HBO Max in several markets had already been announced, in November of last year, by the managing director of conglomerate WarnerMedia, Andy Forssell, after the US launch in May 2020.
Portugal, the Netherlands or Greece are on the list of countries that still want to wait for the change, which should only happen next year, according to Christina Sulebakk, general director of HBO Max Europe, Middle East and Africa. “It will be a game changer for fans,” said Sulebakk, quoted by the specialized newspaper.
As for the terms and costs of subscription, the responsible guaranteed that they will be “attractive prices with the introduction of a new annual subscription that offers access to 12 months for the price of eight, which represents a savings of more than 30% and a reduction in cost monthly for around 5.99 euros in Spain and Finland”.
Customers in Spain currently pay €8.99 per month for HBO’s streaming service. In Portugal, this service, which includes exclusives from the North American channel HBO, costs 4.99 euros per month, with a catalog of 5,500 episodes of series, films and documentaries.
