Slovakia donated infirmaries to Taiwan, in return TVs

After Slovakia donated 160,000 AstraZenca treatments to Taiwan against COVID-19, Taiwanese society is repaying the gift and donating 55,000 thermometers and ten large-format televisions to Slovakia. The donations will serve schools and social services facilities, the state secretary of the Ministry of Economy Karol Galek will say at a press conference on Tuesday.
The exchange of donations was started in the first wave of the Taiwan pandemic, which sent 700,000 then-deficient veils to Slovakia. “Then, when the first wave hit Taiwan, which was so significantly delayed, we decided it was time to repay this hospitality. “ said Galek. Therefore, at the end of September, Slovakia sent 160,000 AstraZenca hospitals to Taiwan.
David Nan-Yang Lee, head of the Taipei Representative Office in Bratislava, said that this selfless aid had aroused great interest in Slovakia in Taiwan, and that several companies were beginning to wonder how they would repay the aid. In addition to the medical company, which donated 55,000 thermometers to Slovakia with a total value of 400,000 euros, it also donated ten large-format televisions to a Taiwanese television product, which also has a plant in Slovakia.
According to the chairman of the Board of the SPP Foundation, Adrián Ďurček, the majority of thermometers, namely 50,000 pieces, will be divided into social service homes through higher territorial units, the rest is intended for education. Televisions distributed by the foundation of specific applicants.
