See you on Saturday 9 October for Macaron Day in Puy-en-Velay
The “Macaron Day” resumes its quarters at Place du Martouret in Puy-en-Velay, Saturday October 9 from 8 am to 1 pm. On the program: games, a children’s competition and a solidarity sale with 12 different fragrances, to delight the taste buds of young and old alike.
A gourmet day but also of solidarity since all the profits made will be reversed at APPEL (Philanthropic Association of Parents of Children with Leukemia and other cancers). This day is organized by the Club des Chocolatiers de Haute-Loire and the Les Sentin’elles association, in partnership with the City of Puy-en-Velay.
How to resist the sweet and colorful pleasure of the macaroon? This is the challenge that will be launched on Saturday, October 9 by the local pastry chefs who will share their passion … You will then be able to succumb to temptation and thus discover some traditional flavors, even sometimes more surprising!
12 pastry chefs will animate this day and give you some secrets.
From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the pastry chefs of the Club des chocolatiers de la Haute-Loire offer 12 different flavors of macaroons, and will present their gourmet recipes in a nice little book published especially for this Macaron Day 2021.
A children’s competition “Les Mini-Toqués de macarons”
To your whips and maryses! The little pastry chefs will be able to let their imaginations run wild and test different recipes to present their production to the jury this Saturday, October 9 from 8 am to 10 am! After tasting and deliberation, 3 winners will be rewarded and will win a Top Chef pastry box as well as the pastry chef’s recipe book: the prettiest macaroon, the most original macaroon and the most delicious macaroon!

In addition, “The wheel of Sentin’elles” will turn every hour and will delight the lucky winners with a majority of prizes and in particular a gourmet box of local products worth € 30.
The message is simple and the noble cause 1 badge = 1 donation!
The Les Sentin’elles association, which collects funds for sick children, has decided to join forces with the Club des Chocolatiers de Haute-Loire to set up this event.
Each badge purchased = 1 donation for APPEL (Philanthropic Association of Parents of Children with Leukemia and Other Cancers). The macaroons will be packaged in a bag of 12 but can also be purchased individually.
