Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko, in turn, said that 13 landfills will be liquidated in some regions of Russia by the end of this year, and about 150 more landfills are planned to be liquidated in 2022 and 2023.

Abramchenko also recalled that one of the most ambitious projects for the reclamation of the city dump was implemented in Chelyabinsk. Abramchenko noted that, using the example of Chelyabinsk, the reclaimed territories should be involved in the life of the city. “In Tatarstan, for example, people choose to use the reclaimed landfill for the development of winter sports or the creation of a botanical garden.
