Letter to the Secretariats of State on the Green Pass
Hon. Roberto Ciavatta,
Health Secretary of the Republic of San Marino
Hon. Luca Beccari,
Foreign Secretary of the Republic of San Marino
Hon. Andrea Belluzzi,
Education Secretary of the Republic of San Marino
Hon. Secretary of State,
we are the Pensiero Giovane group, made up of girls and boys from the Republic of San Marino with a strong interest in current affairs and politics in our country. We are writing this letter about the worrying situation in which we university students found ourselves and with us many citizens and workers who daily need a valid Green Pass to study and work in the Italian territory.
We fully share the contents of the online petition launched by a group of students resident in San Marino, which we obviously signed and strongly support, as well as the proposal of the Instanza d’Arengo on tampon reimbursement published in the newspapers and which at this moment already has hundreds of signatures. With this letter to understand what the Executive intends to do at the moment: if it were possible to vaccinate San Marino Sputniks, we would like to propose a request that the San Marino Executive could make to the Italian Government, details that we will follow in the letter.
Currently, we are deeply concerned about the future that awaits us: a third dose of an Ema vaccine to be done by October 15? Or immediately after? A new exemption for Sputnik vaccinated? We believe that the institutions must be absolutely clear on this. Many boys and girls have not been able to access universities, study rooms, colleges, but also concerts, museums and cultural events, discriminated against precisely because of their trust in San Marino institutions and in the vaccination plan strongly supported by the Secretariat of Health . On the same Sputnik vaccine, to which citizenship has given total confidence, there are still no official safety confirmations from European organizations and it seems to us that there will be none in the short term.
We hope for an extension of the exemption from vaccination with vaccine approved by the EMA, but we ask for an important step from the San Marino executive, which will prove its credibility: our request is that, if the exemption is approved by the Italian government, they take action in be the necessary technical adjustments so that the sammarine QR codes are approved by the Italian control also by the VerificationC19 control app.
In fact, it is not possible to continue to turn an Italian law text in hand and it is the duty of the various interlocutors to the peculiar situation of San Marino each time, with often unsatisfactory results.
This request must be made in time and with the authority of an Independent State to the Italian Republic: because we are tired of being discriminated against.
We await an answer,
the girls and boys of the Young Thought group
