To this end, the city education authority is sending flyers and posters to all Frankfurt schools this week. The leaflet under the most important questions from parents and children about the vaccination of 18-year-olds and is intended to reduce possible uncertainties before vaccination.
“In the group of 12 to 17 year olds, around 41 percent have been vaccinated at least once,” explains health department head Stefan Majer (Greens). “There is more! We offer many easily accessible vaccination campaigns in Frankfurt, also in school playgrounds. Take advantage of the opportunities and get vaccinated so that we can survive the upcoming wave of infections in autumn and winter with schools open. Vaccination is the best protection for.” all of us.” Part of the campaign, which aims to motivate young people, are short, convincing video statements from members of the City School Council (SSR), which are posted as stories on the city’s Instagram channel.
Corona in Frankfurt: Many special vaccination campaigns
Education department head Sylvia Weber (SPD) says: “Those who get vaccinated protect themselves and others and thus also contribute a large part to the fact that we will soon have survived the pandemic.” With the extensive and varied campaign, the city wants to create as many vaccination and information offers as possible, decentralized, target group-oriented and as simple as possible. “This is the best way to increase the willingness to vaccinate and to win even more families for this common goal”, Weber continued.
All dates for special vaccination campaigns, for example at the Konstablerwache, in the North West Center, at sports clubs and sporting events, in youth clubs and schools, can be found on the Internet at Special vaccination campaigns / City of Frankfurt am Main. The list is updated regularly.
City of Frankfurt promotes vaccinations and “normality under Corona”
In the vaccination center in exhibition hall 1.2, you can still be vaccinated from Monday to Friday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. without an appointment. In addition, the health department, Breite Gasse 28, offers vaccinations from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. until October 29th – including schoolchildren, of course. For all young people up to the age of 15, the presence of at least one person with custody is required. For 16 to 17-year-olds, a declaration of consent signed by a custodian with a copy of the identity card of a custodian is sufficient.
“Please get vaccinated! Also use the autumn holidays for the prick, which helps us to normalize under Corona conditions. Because the virus will be with us for a while”, Majer and Weber appeal together to the students. (Stefanie Liedtke)
