Football Excellence, Victor San Marino launches the “third half” at the end of the match
Last Sunday at the Acquaviva Stadium, at the end of the 1-0 victory against Diegaro, Victor San Marino wanted to invite the visiting team to participate in a small and cheerful refreshment aimed at promoting the love of sport in the Italian championship of Excellence and respect for opponents. This wonderful initiative, known among sportsmen from all over the world as the “third half”, will also be repeated in the home lessons of the biancazzurri with the simple aim of transmitting the healthy values of football and sport to everyone as much as possible. in general such as loyalty, education, fun, inclusion, friendship, tolerance and many others.
The “third time” is a very common practice in rugby and sees the opposing teams and their fans gather at the end of the match to eat and drink all together, exchanging considerations and opinions in complete tranquility, regardless of who has won and who has instead lost, thus celebrating mutual esteem and fair play. The San Marino National Fair Play Committee, through a virtual message addressed to the president of Victor San Marino, Luca Della Balda, wanted to congratulate the San Marino football club for its laudable proposal, defining it “a beautiful example of sportsmanship with educational purposes and the aim of spreading the sound principles and values of fair play in sport that the international organizations European Fair Play Movement and International Fair Play Committee, through their national fair play committees, are always at the forefront to try to involve more and more protagonists of sport in respecting the rules of the universal concept of fair play and ethical values in sport “.
“For Victor San Marino – declares the leader of the biancazzurri, Luca Della Balda – the result is important, you can also understand it from the name we have chosen, but that’s not all. We would like to be appreciated also and above all for the organization and image of the team and the club, both on and off the pitch. That of the ‘third half’ is just one of the many ideas we have planned – continues the president of Victor San Marino -. In fact, starting from the next home match, we will send an invitation to all the pupils of the Elementary and Middle Schools as well as to the San Marino football schools to attend our matches for free, on the occasion of which we will allow fans to order gadgets and articles offered with the contribution. of our generous sponsors. We will also launch a sort of competition for the choice of the team’s official third jersey and, in order not to miss anything, also for the choice of the Victor San Marino hymn. The goal, as our team was born a few months ago, is therefore to retain the highest possible number of fans and supporters. This is what we have set ourselves as managers – concludes Della Balda -. Obviously, the best way to attract fans and interest is to offer a good game and many victories on the pitch, but Mr. D’Amore and our talented players will take care of this ”.
