Elections start on Wednesday, drive-in voting places will open to people in quarantine-ČT24-Czech Television
Voting at drive-in polls will begin on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. Only people with permanent residence in the district where the place is located, or people with the opposite card, will be able to accept at each of the 82 places.
In the district of Klatovy, where there will be two stations, and in Prague, where there will be five, they must choose the station under which it falls according to their addresses.
After use on a drive-in station, each voter will need to demonstrate that they have ordered quarantine or isolation. According to the director of the election department of the Ministry of the Interior, Tomáš Jírovec, it will serve as proof of confirmation from the regional hygienic stations, a general practitioner, or a positive test result. However, none of this necessarily has. “He can keep a solemn declaration on the spot in front of the commission,” Jírovec said.
According to social administration statistics, 2,223 employees or self-employed persons who pay for health insurance were quarantined on Monday with electronic incapacity. According to data from the Ministry of Health, tests on Monday confirmed the infection in 804 children and adults, a total of 7900 people had coronavirus.
On the other hand, an identity card or passport, or a voter’s card, will be necessary if the voter comes to vote in a different district than where he / she is registered. The voter will not get out of the car for the entire voting time at the special polling station. The election commission shall be provided with the necessary documents from the windows and from the windows as well as an appropriate envelope with the ballot paper in the ballot box.
Those who vote on the drive-in will also be removed from the permanent voter list in their constituency. So if his quarantine ended by Saturday, he would not be able to vote a second time.
A special post, where voters will unite with the ordered quarantine, has been built by the army in recent days. “We built tents, plugged in electricity, and thus the activity ends for us within hours,” described the commander of one of the military teams, Lukáš Drábek, the commander of one of the military teams.
Those who do not have a car or cannot travel to the drive-in station due to their health condition, and still want to co-decide on the composition of the new Chamber of Deputies, will also be given the opportunity to vote. An alternative to drive-ins will be voting in a portable ballot box. However, people in isolation or quarantine must call the municipal or city office, or the nearest municipality by 20:00 and order it.
Nothing needs to be ordered only by people who live in residential social services facilities, the closure of which is approved by the hygienist. The law stipulates that election commissioners will come to see them on Thursday or Friday. As there is only one such facility in the Czech Republic – the relief service for the home for the elderly in České Budějovice – clients should have it canceled as early as Thursday morning.
