Caregivers, teachers, retirees …
In the procession, teachers, port workers, local agents, unemployed, private sector employees… mingled. Some caregivers, who also organized a walkout and a rally at 1 pm in front of the Monod hospital, in Montivilliers, had also made the trip.
The opportunity for them, in particular, to draw attention to the situation of their non-tenured colleagues, with precarious statuses and excluded from the upgradings of Ségur, while “we have lost colleagues” with the health crisis and the place of compulsory vaccination.
In Normandy, other gatherings also took place, notably in Cherbourg (800 demonstrators) and Caen (1,500 demonstrators).
