Chinese brushcutters and chainsaws, huge seizure in Naples – Campania

False and dangerous, Customs Office seals in 2788 pieces

(ANSA) – NAPLES, 05 OCT – The 840 dangerous brushcutters and 1948 counterfeit chainsaws seized by the Naples Customs Office had been built and came from China. About 300 thousand euros were destined to be delivered to two companies operating in the area. The legal representatives of the importing companies have been reported to the Judicial Authority for crimes of false ideology, reproduction of false signs on industrial products and counterfeiting.

The company to which the brushcutters were intended presented the officials with a certificate issued on a purely voluntary basis by an accredited body which, however, in addition to being devoid of any legal value, was also found to be false. The counterfeit chainsaws, on the other hand, reproduced, without the necessary license, the figurative consisting of the particular ownership of the orange / gray trademark owned by the German multinational Andreas Stihl Ag & Co. Kg, whose experts, viewed representative photos, declared the counterfeiting. (HANDLE).
