1019 new coronavirus infections reported within 24 hours
A week ago there were 1284 new infections. For every 100,000 inhabitants, 182.63 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus infections were reported in the last two weeks. The reproduction number R, which indicates the average number of people infected by an infected person, was 0.87 on September 24th.
The occupancy rate of the intensive care units in the hospitals is currently 72.6 percent. 18.6 percent of the available beds are occupied by Covid 19 patients.
A total of 10’071’500 vaccine doses had been delivered to the cantons and Liechtenstein by Sunday evening. It administered 10,569,311 doses. 59.3 percent of the population are already fully vaccinated. So far, 6,401,588 certificates have been issued for fully vaccinated persons.
In the last 24 hours, 31,142 new corona tests were reported to the BAG. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 11,011,222 tests for Sars-CoV-2, the causative agent of the respiratory disease Covid-19, have been carried out in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, as the BAG further announced. There were a total of 845,233 work-confirmed cases of infection with the coronavirus.
32,988 people who have so far been treated in hospital for a Covid 19 disease. The number of cases in connection with a Covid 19 disease is believed to be 10,724.
Based on the contact tracing information of the BAG, 10,554 people in isolation and 8564 in quarantine. People who returned from a risk country were not in quarantine.
