Usl. “Serie B” vaccinated
In light of the statements in the press by the Secretariat for Health, we are pleased to learn that negotiations are underway to obtain an extension of the derogation provided for in Article 6 of the Italian Legislative Decree 111/2021 which grants exemption from the obligation to vaccinated Sputnik San Marino citizens. of the green pass and this rekindles hope. However, the crux of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine remains, which to date is not among those approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and which does not seem to intend to proceed with recognition in the short term. By now the question is clear: the aforementioned European recognition is in fact automatically valid for the vaccines approved by the EMA – therefore Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson – while for the Russian Sputnik V the European Union has left freedom of choice to individuals. States on how to deal with the matter. At the moment, despite the general reassurances expressed in recent months, many countries have not recognized the Russian vaccination as valid, thus leaving the vast majority of San Marino citizens and thousands of Italians residing in San Marino without a valid green pass. In the absence of a stable solution, the San Marino citizens will therefore be forced to make a rapid or molecular buffer at their own expense to access outside confinement to sporting events, fairs, congresses, museums, theaters, cinemas, concerts, public competitions. For tables at indoor tables in bars and restaurants, swimming pools, gyms. But also to visit relatives in homes for the elderly and access the waiting sales of emergency rooms or enter hospital wards to visit hospitalized family members just to name a few. In addition, even greater demands such as quarantine are almost always required to travel abroad. For some time this situation has been presented as complex and of great inconvenience for the citizens of San Marino but we remember that from 15 October, should there be no further extensions or developments, when the derogation provided for in Article 6 of the Italian Legislative Decree 111/2021 will expire there about 1200 workers who go to work in Italy every day and a large number of students who will be forced to swab swabs, otherwise they will be denied the opportunity to go to work or access a school and university facility. There are already rumors that some San Marino workers with a fixed-term contract and vaccinated Sputnik may not see their contract renewed in Italy. We as a trade union organization have always supported, while respecting the freedom of individual choice, the collective need to get vaccinated, because the vaccine is a tool that neglects it has proven to be effective in fighting the pandemic. For this reason, today, in seeing that after such a long time no certain and definitive solutions have been found to the problem, but that on the contrary worrying solutions are proposed such as administering a third dose with a recognized Ema vaccine, we feel obliged to recall the Government to make the comparison with neighboring Italy and with International Organizations more incisive in order to allow the entire population to move freely and not only in Italy. We therefore ask that every possible action be put in place in order to overcome this situation which is undoubtedly creating so much tension among citizens, citizens who, let us remember, have undergone vaccinations with Sputnik with a great sense of responsibility, an obligatory choice in the first months. , and who now paradoxically see themselves treated as “Series B” vaccinated.
