Spacer’s Toulouse: a new lease of life for a new start
With a reorganized governance at the head of the club, Spacer’s Toulouse have approached the new season with the ambition to increase the club’s audience with the public and that of playing the play-offs on the field.
Jean Azéma was right to recall it Friday evening, during the back-to-school conference of Spacer’s Toulouse organized as part of the Rowing, in the presence of the club’s partners: “The arrival of Bruno Sola as president of the club is a historic moment , because for the first time, it was not a person from the club that was conceived. ” And the ex-president of Spacer’s now deputy president added: “We needed, we, the historical leaders of the club, to look for other skills.”
The arrival of Bruno Sola last summer, 44, founder of the Bizness group, therefore goes in this direction. Partner of the Toulouse club before becoming number one, the dynamic Bruno Sola has therefore unveiled his projects. “My arrival is above all a meeting of men,” he recalled in the preamble before discussing his ambitions for Toulouse volleyball.
Surfer on the Olympic wave
“At Bizness, we have know-how that we want the club to benefit from to help it grow. We are giving ourselves four to five months to define our strategic plan “, underlined Bruno Sola, who notably wants to develop the image of Spacer’s and their notoriety:” We are going to work on communication and of course develop on digital, social networks . We also have the ambition to fill the sports center, it is even one of our first challenges. ” And to mention an increase of 30% of licensees and 35% of club subscribers since the Olympic title of the Blues.
“We will try to ride the wave”, specifies the president of Spacer’s, convinced that the positive image of volleyball in the university ranks “should allow us to reach the students of Toulouse, we are still on a university land, the second university city in France after Paris. “
On the field side, the part of Didier Conjaud (vice-president), the latter launched: “We are in a bit of a year of transition. A renewal of the workforce was necessary but we still have the ambition to be in the top 8 in the end. The problem is that all French clubs have this objective. Everyone has strengthened and it will not be easy in view of the friendly matches. “
