Ulyanovsk. The 4th of October. INTERFAX-POVOLZHYE – The inauguration ceremony of Alexei Russkikh as governor of the Ulyanovsk region is taking place on Monday, an Interfax correspondent reported.
The chairman of the regional election commission, Yuri Andrienko, said that the election of the governor was recognized as valid, but valid.

Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov said at the ceremony that the Russians “have serious experience of working in federal authorities and the economic sector, which will maximize the potential of the Ulyanovsk region and ensure its dynamic for the benefit of residents.”
“People count on you to prove the election results, this support has already been taken by your team of steps, and an advance for the future,” Komarov.
Representatives of state authorities, religious and public organizations are represented at the ceremony.
In turn, the Russians thanked the residents of the Ulyanovsk region for their support.
“I am ready to work and take responsibility for the development of the Ulyanovsk region for at least the next five years,” he said.
According to the results of the last elections, the Russians, nominated by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, won 83.16% of the vote, his three rivals – no more than 5% each. The voter turnout was 45.88%.
Russian was appointed by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation as Acting Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region on April 8, 2021.
