Several indicators are used to evaluate the situation of hygiene and epidemiological use. One of the most important is the number of hospitalizations, which is above two hundred. In the meantime, however, the number of infected people is rising sharply and it is possible that over a thousand people a day will reach this week. The Chief Hygienist therefore pointed out that there may be a tightening, for example, in matters of testing or the obligation to wear protection, which travel everywhere in the internal services.
The reintroduction of regular testing in companies and schools is also at stake. The limit for tightening the measures is 75 positive per 100,000 inhabitants, but none of the regions has yet reached it. This number is slowly approaching Prague, which had seven-day incidents around 60 positive per 100,000 inhabitants over the weekend, or the Moravian-Silesian Region.
Coronavirus among children
Currently, the coronavirus is most prevalent among young people. In the age categories from 6 to 11 years from 12 to 15 years, the incidence approached 90 infected people per 100,000 inhabitants at the weekend. But we are also seeing increases in the elderly, including seniors over 65.
They can now go two weeks for the third dose of vaccination, as can anyone who is eight months after the primary vaccination. Of the approximately 7,500 people who have already received the third dose, one in four is over 65 years old.
Vaccination among unprotected seniors is difficult
Fortunately, cases of new infections in social facilities are still very low, in September they are in units of cases. So far, it is also true that severe cases of the disease have practically disappeared here. In the whole month, the Ukrainian hygienic stations record only five major outbreaks of the disease in social facilities.
Experts identify approximately 415,000 people over the age of 60 who have not yet undergone covid-19 or are not vaccinated as one of the most risky factors for the autumn development of the epidemic. Unfortunately, their number is declining only very slowly, compared to last week it is lower by only two thousand. At the same time, these people often have several chronic diseases and are more prone to have a more serious course of covid-19.
