New report points to Kongshavn as a new terminal for foreign ferries in Oslo – E24
A new report believes that the foreign ferries in Oslo should be moved to a common terminal at Kongshavn by Sjursøya.
Today the ferries to Kiel depart from Filipstad, while the ferries to Copenhagen depart from Vippetangen.
At Filipstad, it is planned and extensively expanded with housing, culture and city life, while at Vippetangen there are no such plans.
The best alternative set from an urban development perspective is therefore to gather the foreign ferries at Kongshavn, writes Aftenposten.
Kongshavn is located below the Ekeberg slope and consists of the quay area between Sjursøya and the Alnaelva outlet in the north.
The report, commissioned by the city council, has recommended sexual alternatives and does not conclude with one overall recommendation. But Kongshavn finds it best when it comes to economy and urban development.
The report has been carried out by the consulting group COWI and reports must reach out for consultation. The consultation deadline is Monday 15 November.
Then cases send the city council for political consideration, something which according to the newspaper can happen around Easter next year.
