Minister Toman will receive 110 million from Prague for land near Běchovice
The Prague City Hall will buy from Běchovice from private owners the land necessary for the construction of the so-called green belt along the planned section of the Prague ring road, designated 511 between the D1 and the Hradec Králové motorway. Today’s decision of councilors was announced by Deputy Mayor Adam Scheinherr (Prague Sobě). It is not clear when the completion of the circuit will begin. The investor is the state through the Directorate of Roads and Motorways (ŘSD).
Of the total land swap that the city will buy, 77,930 square meters are owned by Xaverov trade and 38,566 square meters belong to Agrotrade. Both companies are owned by the Toman family, the key positions are played by the minister’s father Miroslav Toman senior and brother Zdeněk Toman.
The city has to pay 109.46 million crowns for land intended to soundproof the Prague ring road. After the purchase of land, the city began work on the rampart project.
“Last year we promised that this year the first results of land purchases will be under the future green belts. By today’s decision of the council, we approved the purchase of an area of more than 116,000 square meters. Now that we have a green wall where I land, we will start working on its documentation, “said Scheinherr.
The city management is now considering a variant that it uses material excavated during the construction of metro D from Pankrác to Písnice or the city ring road from Pelc-Tyrolka to Štěrbohol for planting. “Trucks would not have to travel 50 to 80 kilometers away. This would save the city coffers for landfill fees and the environment, “said Scheinherr.
It is not clear when the construction of the mentioned section of the Prague Ring Road will begin. The construction will receive a positive opinion in 2019 during the environmental impact assessment.
“Nothing has happened to 511 since then. Not a single piece of land was bought, the building does not have a zoning decision and the whole of Prague pays for it. Heavy transit traffic must be able to bypass Prague. Not to enter it, leave behind polluted air in the wider city center, and move on again, “said Scheinherr. According to him, the capital helps the ŘSD in the preparation of constructions according to previous agreements.
Section 511 measures over 12 days and four level crossings are planned on it. The construction, which will connect both highways, also includes two tunnels. The entire Prague ring road measures about 80 times, now only about half is in operation.
