Hlinka’s pupil Jakub Pešek invited pupils from Smetana’s primary school to a match between AC Sparta Prague and Glasgow Rangers
Last week, a match between the Glasgow Rangers and AC Sparta Praha teams took place at the Letna Stadium in Prague on Thursday, played by Jakub Pešek from Hlinka. As a former student of the Smetana Elementary School, he invited the pupils of the school to this match with a pedagogical accompaniment, where a total of ten thousand children created an unusual fan backdrop in the auditorium.
The football players of the Prague Sparta defeated the Rangers 1: 0 in the second match of Group A in the European League.
Jakub Pešek played for FC Hlinsko from 4 to 14 years. After several years for the AFK Chrudim team, to which he transferred from Hlinsko, he was invited to join the A-team of AC Sparta Prague. He started here once at the end of the match in the first Czech football league and in several friendly matches of the Czech National Cup. He worked in the AC Sparta Praha team for 8 years. In 2017, he moved to České Budějovice, where the fans were voted the best player of the year. In 2018, he changed his engagement and moved to Slovan Liberec. Since mid-2021, he has been playing again at AC Sparta Prague.
In 2020, Jakub Pešek represented for the Czech Republic, when he scored one goal in the match against Scotland.
