Entry bans: Federal police stop illegal entry attempts
The federal police stopped several illegal entry attempts on Saturday (October 2nd) on the A93 near Kiefersfelden. Despite the current entry bans, three people tried to get to Germany. Their travels came to an early end at the border controls.
In the early hours of the morning, the federal police checked the occupants of a long-distance bus on the Inntal motorway that runs regularly from Italy to Munich. When checking the identity of an Albanian, the officials found that the 26-year-old had valid travel documents, but did not have an entry permit for the Federal Republic of Germany. On the contrary: the man had appeared several times in the past with the police in Germany, among other things because of bodily harm, burglary and threats. His asylum application was rejected earlier this year. Nevertheless, he tries to illegally cross the border, contrary to an entry and residence ban that will be valid until February 2022.
A Ukrainian woman wanted to get to Germany on the same bus. Although they were able to show a valid passport and a visa, the 20-year-olds are still not allowed to enter. With the help of their data, the federal police found out that the immigration authorities in the Burgenland district had imposed a three-year entry ban on them in 2020.
There was also a Gambier on the A93. He presented his Italian refugee passport and an Italian residence permit to the officials. A closer examination of his personal details revealed that he had been deported in 2020. The now 27-year-old received an entry and residence ban that was valid for two and a half years. Nevertheless, the Rosenheim federal police met the deportee again. After the police measures were completed, the Rosenheim Federal Police turned all three back to Austria on the same day.
