Dalí conquers Siena, the exhibition extended to 7 January 2022
Public success for the art of Salvador Dalí, catalyst of the attention of many tourists and visitors who in recent months have crowded the historic center of Siena enough to push ‘The Dalí Universe’ to extend the opening of the exhibition ‘Dalí in Siena: from Galileo Galilei to Surrealism ‘hosted in the Palazzo delle Papesse.
The event has provided an important contribution to the recovery of tourism in the Tuscan city after the stop imposed by the pandemic and is preparing to reserve new surprises in the coming months.
The exhibition curated by Beniamino Levi, president of ‘The Dalí Universe’, displays over 150 of the most important works of the eccentric artist, according to creative schemes studied by the artistic director Roberto Pantè with the organization curated by the executive manager Ferruccio Carminati . The works tell of Dalí’s great interest in literature, mathematics, physics and psychoanalysis, subjects studied in depth by the Master in a constant research guided by his inexhaustible curiosity.
“We are very satisfied with the feedback we have had in recent months, what gratifies us is the appreciation of the public” comments Ferruccio Carminati. “The dissemination purpose is crucial for us, we firmly believe that art, if well told, can be truly accessible to everyone and the enthusiastic comments of those who came to the show can only fill us with pride”.
Ample space for dissemination therefore in the weeks, with the offer of thematic paths developed for schools, dedicated to the deepening of the many themes treated by Salvador Dalí in his works. A new room will also be dedicated to primary school students which will host interactive workshops to make their visiting experience even more immersive.
‘The Dalí Universe’ in recent months has been working on the implementation of security protocols to allow visitors a path in total safety. To access, you must show the health green pass or the result of a swab you have undergone within the previous 48 hours. The visit to the site provides for the absolute prohibition of gathering and the obligation to wear a mask.
