Analysis sees the best opportunities for new companies to settle in Salzburg at the airport
The state is working on a concept together with the city’s regional planning department. Results should be available in the first half of 2022.

In total, the authors of the study assume a potential of up to 37 hectares around the airport, on which, for example, new headquarters could be built (symbol image).
In spring, when looking for a space for a new distribution center, Swiss Post got involved as a prospect for a plot of land on the airport site. And with that a discussion started about which areas are necessary for operation. A potential analysis commissioned by the city confirms that the airport site has “development potential for outstanding economic activities”.
