Wooden construction with skylights as a special solution
In the attic, a special solution for daylight planning was necessary due to the listed suspension structure and the four historical dormer windows. Accordingly, together with the roof window manufacturer FACRO an additional wooden construction with eight built-in FAKRO roof windows FTU / CU P5 was developed, two of which were electrically executed and integrated into the existing roof. “A special property requires special solutions”, says Carsten Nentwig, Managing Director of FAKRO Austria. “Thanks to the interesting and very beautiful roof construction with the integrated roof windows, we create optimal lighting conditions in the rooms”.
Another special feature: The pole extensions were supplied with twice the width (120 mm instead of 60 mm standard width). This created more space for the thermal insulation. The frame of the windows in the wooden construction was done by a plumber, whereby the supplied sheet metal in copper was also made 22 mm wider, so that the carpenter could provide the roof windows with a 22 mm thick thermal insulation strip all around.
