2,629 new corona cases within 72 hours
At the same time, the BAG registered seven new authorities and 41 hospital admissions.
A week ago, the BAG had counted 3,069 new cases over the weekend. For every 100,000 inhabitants, 196.66 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus infections were reported in the last two weeks. The reproduction number R, which indicates the average number of people infected by an infected person, was 0.76 around two weeks ago.
The occupancy rate of the intensive care units in the hospitals is currently 73.2 percent. 19.4 percent of the available beds are occupied by Covid-19 patients and patients.
Vaccination rate 17 percent
A total of 10’071’500 vaccine doses had been delivered to the cantons and Liechtenstein by Sunday evening. This means that 10,543,519 cans were dispensed. 58.86 percent of the population are fully vaccinated. So far, 6,371,976 have been issued certificates for fully vaccinated persons. Despite all appeals, the vaccination rate fell by 17 percent.
In the last 72 hours, 103,437 new corona tests were reported to the BAG. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 10,980,085 tests for Sars-CoV-2, the causative agent of the respiratory disease Covid-19, have been carried out in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, as the BAG further announced. There were a total of 844,209 work-confirmed cases of infection with the coronavirus.
32,957 people who have so far been treated in hospital for a Covid 19 disease. The number of cases in connection with a Covid 19 disease is believed to be 10,721.
Due to the contact tracing based on the information provided by the BAG, 10,550 people in isolation and 8,619 people in quarantine. None of those who returned from risk countries were in quarantine.
