Do you have the soul of a great pastry chef ? Do you like to sublimate very Norman products ? Then this contest may be for you! Les Vitrines de Rouen (Seine-Maritime) launched the sixth edition of their traditional contest for the “best apple pie”.

Make the difference

To participate, you must first register, directly online, on the website of the association of Showcases of Rouen. The door is open to everyone: amateurs, apprentices and professionals. To make a difference, you will have to select your apples carefully so that they are tender, juicy and finely sweet!

Once as close as possible to perfection, your confections will be deposited on Thursday, October 28, between 8:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m., at the National Institute of Bakery and Pastry (INBP). The building is located at 150, boulevard de l’Europe, in Rouen.

Prize giving ceremony on October 30

From that moment on, the delicate jury test will have to be passed with flying colors. The first five in each category will then be contacted again, for a prize-giving ceremony scheduled for Saturday, October 30.

This culinary competition will take place in parallel with the Belly Festival, scheduled for its part on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 October. In 2020, these two events had not taken place because of the health context. Relief for this year, we will be entitled to a new batch of the best apple pies in Rouen!
