Weather report. After the violent wind and heavy rains in Côte-d’Or, especially in Dijon, the situation calms down
The climatic conditions deteriorated markedly at the start of the afternoon across the Côte-d’Or. At the time of writing, heavy rain is affecting the whole of the department.
Rainy conditions which must be maintained throughout the afternoon before a start of improvement, by the northwest, in the early evening. However, the precipitation must last until the end of the night in the south-east of the Côte-d’Or and in particular in Dijon.
According to Météo Côte-d’Or forecasts, it could fall up to 50 mm of rain in the Dijon area. Montbardois could also be affected by 40 mm of precipitation. And forecasters warn: a risk of flooding and reaction of rivers is possible locally. For the time being, no ‘flood’ vigilance has been observed by Météo France en Côted’Or in other departments.
At around 4 p.m., however, Météonews indicated to expect a cumulative rainfall of 20 mm of rain over the department by tomorrow. Météo France has also noted the yellow vigilance in the department.
At around 5:30 p.m., Météo Côte-d’Or noted a weakening of the rains that fell in Côte-d’Or. The meteorological situation is starting to calm down in the department.
The wind has done damage
Earlier in the day, strong gusts of wind, close to 90 km / h, had woken up the Côte-d’Or. The strongest gales were recorded in Saulieu and Seurre (89 km / h) as well as in Dijon (86 km / h). Gusts that caused some damage across the department. In Bellefond in particular where a large willow tree fell causing the destruction of children’s games in a park behind the town hall. Fortunately, the incident fortunately did not cause any injuries.
In Flagey-lès-Auxonne, an electric pole fell to the ground in one of the streets of the town.
In Dijon, in the Toison-d’Or district, a tree also fell on a vehicle.
Also note several interventions by firefighters during the morning for objects or materials threatening to fall to the ground. Always placed in yellow vigilance “violent wind”, the Côte-d’Or should see an improvement in the situation during the afternoon for this phenomenon.
