Turkish crescendo of provocation: war depictions against Greece, indifference of Athens
There is no end to the provocative behavior of Turkey since after the crescendo of aggressive rhetoric regarding the voyage of the research ship Nautical Geo in the Cypriot EEZ, it does not hesitate now to be projected in war depictions in Greece.
Turkey, as it was seen today through the announcement of the Ministry of Defense, clearly shows its intentions.
Specifically, the representative of the Turkish Ministry of Defense stressed that instructions have been given to both the Navy, the Air Force and the Army for the implementation of Greek policy, which he characterized as provocative and aggressive.
“We will not give up our rights. “We will not allow it to be done,” concludes the Turkish announcement, which comes the day after a similar style of reciprocal announcement by the Turkish Foreign Minister on Saturday.
At the same time, already in the Cyprus EEZ some minor entanglements were synthesized as it has already been issued by the Turkish side NAVTEX.
Turkey’s provocative stance, for the time being, is limited to this new naval directive, but it must be borne in mind that at the same time the ship has not launched any investigations.
In any case, the presence of the Turkish Navy is considered a given in the region.
As far as the Greek EEZ is concerned, the climate will definitely not be the same as in the previous period.
Ankara cannot hide its frustration with the Greek-French agreement.
Choose not to answer Athens
Athens chooses not to respond to the blatant war depictions, messages that follow Ankara’s delusion.
It is characteristic that our country did not officially take a position either on the announcement of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday, or on the announcement of the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
In any case, an appropriate message to Turkey is estimated to be given by both Athens and Nicosia with the demonstration of Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulidis, tomorrow 4/10 in our country, since the Cypriot Foreign Minister will make joint statements with the Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, at noon of the same day.
Our country closely monitors, in the field, the movements of Turkey, carefully examines the possibility of the Turkish Navy being projected into harassment of some kind in the Naval Geographic, while now having very low offers for the upcoming new round of exploratory contacts.
Diplomatic sources explain to SKAI that Greece still considers Turkey’s behavior to be expected, since on the sidelines of the Greek-French defense agreement, it realizes its isolation, the change of balances in the southeastern Mediterranean and the fact that “the tsaboukades”
In any case, our country advocates that the devils of communication are legitimate to be open.
