Anyone who has done any work at home has faced the problem: leftover paint. Because we misjudged the surface to be painted, because the pot contained more paint than necessary, because we wanted to take advantage of a promotion and we bought too much. And once the walls are repainted, these almost empty pots are piling up because you never know maybe that one day you will have to do a touch-up on this magnificent sunny yellow wall that we have just finished.
Painting per m² rather than per liter
Based at The Union (Haute Garonne), at the gates of Toulouse, the Colibri paint company has found the solution to overcome this problem of half-empty paint cans and now offers paint per square meter and no longer per liter.
Since our creation in 2018, I have been thinking about how to stop wasting paint. At best the painting ends in the recycling center when we find the pots and at worst, unfortunately, in the sinks. This is where the idea of selling the paint in the right quantity, per square meter, arose.
Sold online
A system somewhat on the principle of bulk sale, thanks to which we buy only what we need, via a website.
“The customer enters the number of m² he has to paint on click and paint “, Explain Cedric Laurent. “He then chooses the color he wants to use, specifies whether he has to paint his ceiling, decides whether he wants to use our depolluting paint or not… Then indicates whether there are renovations to be done on his wall. He is then offered an all-inclusive pack, with all the paint and equipment needed for his work ”.
A basket that can be delivered throughout France and Europe, in 48 hours. The offer is also well intended professionals and individuals, and unused equipment can be reimbursed. The site also offers tutorials to do its work at best. “And we have lowered all our prices by 15% on this type of offer,” explains Cédric Laurent.
The Colibri company employs eleven employees on its site based at The Union.
