The Girondins sink against Monaco [3-0] – the Girondins
The Girondins de Bordeaux did not exist against AS Monaco and conceded 3 more goals. The score of 3 goals to 0 could have been much more severe without Benoît Costil in the goals.
Girondins de Bordeaux coach Vladimir Petkovic has, as usual for a month, chosen continuity.
He fielded a team organized in 5-3-2 defensively, and 3-4-2-1 offensively. Fransergio as expected holds, Samuel Kalu replaces Dilrosun in the starting eleven.
The game was balanced in the first half hour and it was the Girondins who declared themselves the most dangerous in the 18th. Hwang made a feat in the box, his counter strike came back to Pembele alone at 6 meters who made a feint and hit too softly. Maripan posted on his line clears the ball. Over the minutes, the Monegasque domination is accentuated. Samuel Kalu conceded for the second time in this half, a foul 20 m from his goal. On the free kick, Aurélien Tchouameni, left free to mark by Fransergio, scored with a strike at the near post. Bordeaux returned to the locker room on this score.
Petkovic loses the thread
Back from the locker room, the Girondins coach does not change anything and it is the same players who return to the pitch. The sanction is immediate. The Kwateng-Mexer Bordeaux defense was overtaken by Ben Yedder and Golovine. Monaco leads 2 to 0. Petkovic then decides to return and Elis and Dilrosun in place of Otavio and Kalu. Yacine Adli retreats into the midfield at Fransergio’s level.
A few minutes later, Fransergio lost an easy ball in the middle of the field and against Bordeaux conceded the penalty. Monaco leads without dispute 3 to 0. Petkovic continues his turnover and decides to finally leave Fransergi then Kalu and Pembele. Entrance Mensah, Mara and Zerkane. The Girondins team no longer looks like anything. It is difficult to understand at this moment the game plan and the organization on the ground. It’s disorganized. The last minutes of play will be an ordeal.
Bordeaux is 17th in Ligue 1 with already three points behind the 15th Clermont (See the ranking).
