Shooting sport: State air rifle championships in Innsbruck
On the first weekend in October, the state championships for air rifles and air pistols were held at the federal performance center in Innsbruck / Arzl. On Saturday all disciplines were completed with the air rifle for around 100 shooters and on Sunday the competitions were carried out with the air pistol.
With the competitions for the youth, junior and young shooting classes as well as the senior classes 1-3 and the general class, the first part of the state championships will take place on these two days.
Innsbruck shooter achieves a dream result with the air rifle
Martina Chamson (SG Wattens-Rettenberg) was able to point with the air rifle and delivered a very strong result in the senior class 1 with 401.8 rings. For the Schützengilde Ellbögen, Thomas Waldauer started in senior class 1 and secured the gold medal with 393.8 rings.
Kufsteiner Schützen main air pressure weapon state championships
In the junior class (up to 11 years of age), both the girls and the boys won the titles in Kufstein: Mathea Stöckl from the Söller sport shooters won gold with 204.2 rings and Deniz Szentannai (Scheffau sport shooters) achieved 200, 9 rings the best result in its class.
Julia Hirner from the Schützengilde Münster won the gold medal in the junior 2 female class with 199.3 rings. 198.2 rings brought the Scheffauer Marcel Szentannai victory in the youth class 2 male.
With Patrick Entner in the young shooter class (407.6 rings) and Raimund Felderer in the senior class 2 (397.3 rings), two further championship titles went to the Breitenbacher Schützengilde. With the junior victory of Sandro Streicher (SG Ebbs) with 242.3 rings as the final result, Kufstein was able to claim title number 7.
Kufstein’s shooters are also strong with the air pistol: Siegmund Auer (SG Wörgl) won the championship title in senior class 2 with 370 rings in the LP1 discipline. Josef Gruber from the Breitenbach shooting club won the state championship standing on top with 372 rings in general Great. Walter Patka (SG Ebbs) was successful with the five-shot LP5 air pistol and finally enriched the collection of Kufstein shooters with the number 10 gold medal.
Vice European champion wins national air rifle championship title
Two female air rifle shooters were worth gold for the Absam Rifle Guild: Leonie Isser achieved the best result in youth class 1 with 207.8 rings. Vice European Champion Rebecca Köck delivers the strongest result in the women’s class with 247.4 rings in the final. With the LP1 air pistol, favorite Rudolf Sailer (SG Absam) was once again in a class of his own and with a sensational 383 rings won the gold medal in the senior class 1 with 358 rings.
The state championships for all classes are planned one week later for Sunday, October 10th.
