Debrecen – The children could run virtually, the little “riders” running in the best time proved their knowledge on real electric go-karts.
The HUMDA Junior Go-Kart Challenge visits Debrecen. The Nagyerdei Stadium is home to Sunday’s family show, and in addition to the competitions, other programs, exhibitions and performances add color. At the heart of HUMDA’s nationwide challenge is for kids interested in motorsport to prove they have talent for the sport.
The challenge was dreamed up by Zoltán Szujó, HUMDA’s chief adviser, car racer Norbert Michelisz and speed engine rider Gábor Talmácsi, the 2007 world champion of the MotoGP series.
– The entry sport of motorsport is go-karting, which can usually be afforded by modified families, but the aim of the program is for anyone between the ages of 6 and 14 to show what is possible in this sport
– said Zoltán Szujó.
He added, the dangers of motorsport in the virtual world called for help, as there are many places where professional simulators in sports. These could be tried out all week in Debrecen. The best time runners were given the opportunity to prove their skills on real electric go-karts on the weekends. The reward for the young “rider” who achieves the top 20 lap times in the country will be to take part in a go-kart camp. Here, they learn from Norbert Michelisz, among others, and they can take part in a more serious training.
In addition to finding young people, the HUMDA Junior Go-Kart Challenge traveling competition also aims to promote motorsport among young people, as well as to raise awareness of the importance of environmental awareness. The series of events will focus on electromobility, children will be able to learn about hybrid and electrical technologies, as well as traffic safety and environmental education.
Member of Parliament Lajos Kósa said on the spot that this is also a good advertisement for the MotoGP track being built next to Hajdúnánás.
-We are preparing for the construction of a MotoGP track next to Hajdúnánás, where motorcyclists will be able to organize various events. We are also promoting this with the HUMDA event, and since this event is not just about racing, it is about safe traffic.

The series of events ends at the end of October in Budapest.
