In a loud dispute between a 23-year-old Romanian and his 22-year-old Romanian girlfriend, the police intervened on Mirabellplatz in Salzburg yesterday evening. The man behaved aggressively towards the officers and slightly injured one policeman.
According to the police, the officers became aware of the couple through passers-by. The man had already been aggressive during conversations and had not calmed down despite repeated warnings and threats of arrest.

When the officers finally arrested him at around half past nine, the 23-year-old defended himself violently and injured a police officer. He was taken to the Salzburg Police Detention Center.
