Bulgaria turned the Czech Republic and will argue for fifth place at the World Youth Championship
The home team may finish fifth in the world
Bulgaria’s youth national volleyball team will play a match for the fifth place at the World Cup, in which the country is not co-host with Italy.
The native national team defeated the Czech Republic with 3: 1 (24:26, 25:22, 25:22, 25:23), in a playoff match to determine places from fifth to eighth.
So tomorrow the team in Bulgaria will face each other between Brazil and Belgium, in a match for honor and ranking fifth in the world for this age.
Today’s match in the Italian city of Carbonia started with a dramatic game in favor of the Czech Republic, but the boys did not show great character and reached a turning point.
The first part went point by point all the time, but the home team bends right at the decisive moment. At 24:24 we made a mistake service, then with a successful attack the Czechs managed to close the part with 26:24.
The second part also develops quite equally, but at 19:19 Bulgaria makes a decisive series with three consecutive points. Thus, with the antrupped lead of 22:19, the home team calmly played final points and won the game with 25:22.
The third part of the match is quite identical to the second. Bulgaria again took the lead after a series of points and came out with 21:17, and the one associated with Alex Nikolov turned out to be decisive for the final success in the game with 25:22.
Quite dramatic and the last Thursday part, which develops equally until 20:20. Then the stars in our team – Alex Nikolov and Denis Karyagin led the team in the final part and the game will be won at 25:23, with which Bulgaria won the match.
