A millionaire village is being built outside Prague. Look at the houses from renowned architects

Sugar Mizzy October 2, 2021

Under the connection of the Central Bohemian village, one usually imagines several older houses, a village square with a fountain and a church. A slightly different village is now being built near the village of Nebřenice, southeast of Prague – with houses from the famous studio of architect Richard Meier and its own golf course.

In the development town of Oaks Prague, the investor has already introduced a model apartment, which is located in one of the apartment buildings from the Chapman Taylor studio. This first part of the project, as well as low-energy apartment buildings from the London studio JTP Architects, will be completed in the autumn, when the building approval is planned.

In the first stage of the project, there are thirty-nine unique apartments from studio apartments to duplexes of 190 square meters. Future residents still have access to security on the premises, a bistro, a kindergarten and a golf course with a PGA National license.

The project is backed by money from the London investment group Kew Capital, which finances the development company Arendon Development Company. “We plan to complete the entire Oaks Prague complex in 2028,” says Jan Zemánek, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Arendon.

The investor does not want to comment on the total investment in the project, but at the beginning of the construction there was talk of more than ten billion crowns. “Living in the entire Oaks Prague project, which will include a total of 480 homes, includes apartments, family houses and exclusive villas that are available for sale,” adds Zemánek.

The developer also showed the appearance of other houses, which come from the architecture of Vivian Lee during his work in the aforementioned architectural studio Meier Partners. This has recently been the case, for example, with the designs of several high-rise buildings in New York and, for example, the Getty Center in San Diego.

The New York office for Oaks Prague has designed the Golf Residence building and other apartments, duplexes and penthouses, of which there are now fifteen for sale. Lee also created a two-storey villa in a characteristic white design, which is directly adjacent to the golf course. The net area of the villa is over eight hundred square meters and you will find four more bedrooms, a bar, a study or a cinema.
