With three single blocks in a row from the American Jeffrey Jendryk, the team increased their lead to 17:11 a little later. Outside attacker Ruben Schott used the first set ball to lead the set 1-0.
Even without the injured Anton Brehme in the middle block and Samuel Tuia in the outside attack, the Berliners remained clearly determining the game.
The Frankfurters, who had to get by without Karli Allik, who had come from the Netzhoppers KW-Bestensee and had a bad knee injuries, fought bravely. But they could not withstand the pressure that Cody Kessel and Benjamin Patch created with their attacks.
