Zsolt Molnár: The leading force of the MSZP-Dialogue Association in Budapest
Voters in Budapest had great confidence in Gergely Karácsony and the MSZP-Dialogue Association supporting him. Interview.
“Did the result live up to expectations?
I think the participation was superior. The Alliance of the Hungarian Socialist Party and Dialogue won 25 individual victories in strong districts. This is in line with realities and far surpasses poll measurements.
What is your opinion about the results in Budapest?
It is great that the participation was so strong in Budapest. Voters in Budapest had great confidence in Gergely Karácsony and the MSZP-Dialogue Association that supported him, after seven individual representatives out of eighteen were successfully run into the MSZP-Dialogue Association. We have seven individual winners, compared to four for the Democratic Coalition and five for the Momentum. However, this is very promising for the situation in Budapest, even within the opposition space. Although I would add, the point is always to have a common victory in the end.
How did you find Gergely Karácsony, the candidate for prime minister of the MSZP-Dialogue?
We were confident that you could even turn in the first place in the first round, but the result is promising, very close. Of course, we are working to win and we will also find ammunition, because there is still a spare in the role of Gergely Karácsony. The voters in Budapest said that they trust Gergely Christmas and are the leading force of the MSZP-Dialogue Association Budapest. “
