Prague TV has joined DVB-T2 multiplex 24, metropolitan stations will also tune in to viewers in Central Bohemia
Since Friday, October 1, the metropolitan station Prague TV has also been a part of DVB-T2 multiplex 24, so far it has been wider in Regional Network 4. In addition to the capital city on channel 42, the Digital Broadcasting operator also offers it to viewers in Central Bohemia on channel 44.
The company Digital Broadcasting, which is the operator of DVB-T2 multiplex 24, has started to distribute another regional television in its program offer, the metropolitan Prague TV. However, it is available to viewers only in the capital and central Bohemia, again in a resolution of 960x540p. Until now, the program was available by land only in DVB-T2 offered by Regional Networks 4 to Prague Digital TV. In Prague, those interested in tuning in to the station are also on channel 42, outside the city on channel 44.
At present, the so-called parallel distribution, Prague TV broadcasting in two television multiplexes, is running. In Regional Network 4, the station is marked as Prague TV, in multiplex 24 as PRAGUE TV. In the long run, we can therefore expect the station to switch to Digital Broadcasting’s programming offerings. Everything indicates that this could happen at the turn of this year and next year. At the time of writing, the signaling for the red HbbTV button was not broadcast in DVB-T2 multiplex 24.
