New tour for Salzburg NEOS: Klambauer follows Schellhorn
The pink ones have been part of the Salzburg state government together with the ÖVP and the Greens since 2018. As Klambauer’s deputy, the internist and Second State Parliament President Sebastian Huber will stand – also without opposing candidates. In addition, the 130 NEOS members elect another member of the board and the six-person extended country team on Saturday. In both cases there are several applicants.
How the NEOS want to get involved
About her goals for the coming years, the designated state spokeswoman said to the APA on Friday: “We want to set our own topics more strongly and open ourselves even more to people who want to get involved.” To this end, new formats for participation will be developed and implemented with the new, expanded country team.
In terms of content, Klambauer wants to focus on topics that she oversees as a regional councilor: living, for example, or the compatibility of work and family. In addition, questions should come to the fore that are important in Salzburg, such as traffic. In addition, Sebastian Huber, President of the State Parliament, has a strong voice for health and social affairs.
Opposing candidate “nipped in the bud”?
The “Salzburger Nachrichten” (SN) reported on Friday about differences within the party about the strategic direction in the run-up to tomorrow’s general meeting. A possible opposing candidate was “nipped in the bud”. “I was surprised to read that,” said Klambauer to the APA. “Nobody asked or wanted anything else with me.”
