More cases 696 and 4 dead in Portugal in the last 24 hours
On the day the last phase of deconfinement takes effect, the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) reports that, in 24 hours, 696 new cases of covid-19 and four more deaths were registered in Portugal.
According to this Friday (October 1st), there are now 357 inpatients (less than nine), of which 67 are in intensive care units (one more than the day before), and Portugal currently has 30 501 active cases of illness.
The North region registered the most new infections, with a total of 245, followed by Lisbon and Vale do Tejo with 202. In the Center there were 116 new cases, the Algarve registered 56 and in the Alentejo there were 41. In the autonomous regions, Madeira arrived at 24 new infections and the Azores at 12.
With regard to the four dead, they were registered in the North, Centre, Alentejo and Algarve.
It should be noted that this Friday’s bulletin registers a decrease in the rate of reduction, which in the entire territory is now 101.7 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants (it was 105.6) and not continents are situated at 103, 0 (was 107.3).
