le bilan d’un bâtonnat pas comme les autres
During two years marked by the Covid, the lawyers managed to adapt to the challenges of the health crisis, while continuing to open up to the life of the city, individuals and economic players.
During the press conference at the start of the Bordeaux Bar, there was no question of the launch of a new review on freedoms.
The results of these years 2020-2021 remain marked by the health crisis, during which lawyers have been able to adapt. The Bordeaux Bar was thus the first in France to set up hotlines for victims of domestic violence (on 05 57 77 40 71). “Unfortunately, they worked very well,” says Me Christophe Bayle, the chairman. These offices are also maintained.
Another mobilization: that of young lawyers from bar conference, who were part of the teams of voluntary “liquidators” to defend, without masks, the defendants in immediate comparison during confinement.
For the rest, the various “institutes” of the bar, despite the pandemic, have been able to continue and develop their missions: support for entrepreneurs, help with income tax returns (much appreciated by those who are less comfortable with the IT), reflection on the city of tomorrow with the regional order of architects… A diversity that reflects the richness of the bar, which brings together no less than 1,850 lawyers.
