Gap caught by Angers and Rouen
While Gap fell against Amiens on penalties, Angers left Grenoble when Rouen won at Mulhouse to catch up with Les Rapaces. Bordeaux has chained a third success in a row.
Gap is no longer alone at the top of the Magnus League. The Raptors have, in fact, conceded their first setback of the season when they received Amiens. A meeting that never really settled down with the defenses which took precedence over the attacks. Dimitri Thillet thought he had given Gap the win with 17 minutes to go but, just five minutes later, Tomas Simonsen equalized. Extra time did not change the game so it was on penalties that the decision was made. While Henry-Corentin Buysse proved to be unbeatable, Julian Jonca gave in twice and concedes defeat (tab 1-2). Angers took the opportunity to come back up to Les Rapaces. On their ice, the Dukes got the best of Grenoble, which is no longer undefeated. Tommy Giroux and Danick Bouchard set the tone from the first quarter of an hour before Joël Champagne woke up the Brûleurs de Loups at the half-hour mark. However, Loïc Farnier and Nicolas Ritz reinforced the ascendancy taken by Angers (4-1).
Rouen confirms its return to form
Rouen was also able to come back up to Gap. After their two losses in a row, the Dragons confirmed their awakening by winning at the red lantern Mulhouse. A meeting triggered drum beating with Florian Chakiachvili and David Gilbert who found the loophole in the first five minutes. If Shawn Morton Boutin tried to give hope to the Scorpions in the wake, Mark Flood then again David Gilbert and Joris Bedin gave air to Rouen. At the end of the match, Phil Pietroniro got his double but it was too late for Mulhouse (3-5) who lost for the fourth time in a row. Anglet is not in a better situation with a third setback in four games against Chamonix (3-4), which is finally starting its season after four consecutive losses. Briançon, after his victory in Mulhouse, relapsed against Bordeaux (2-5), which signs a third success in a row. At last, Cergy-Pontoise’s thunderous start to the season is a long way off. The Jokers sank at home against Nice (2-5) for a second defeat in a row.
