a police station to assemble the municipal police
Installed to the south-west of Toulouse, a new police station will accommodate, as and when the arrangements are made from 2022, all the staff of the city’s municipal police.
South-west of Toulouse, in Basso-Cambo, a new police station will make it possible, as the arrangements are made, to accommodate all the staff of the municipal police. In addition to these are most of the additional officers whose recruitment began this year. It is expected to end by 2025.
It will therefore bring together: the administration of administrative services, the protection of buildings, the municipal police, the video protection services, the radio command post and the local council for security and crime prevention (CLSPD). For now, these services are scattered around ten buildings across the city.
Meet the needs of agents
The future premises were installed in this place because it guarantees the patrols “easy access to all the districts of the city”, underlines the Toulouse Town Hall. In addition, it makes it possible to “better meet the needs of the agents”, according to the municipality because it is better served by public transport and equipped with an adapted car park. “The overall functioning of the services whose daily action requires a considerable commitment and operational coherence is facilitated”, concludes the town hall.
The layout of the premises will be considered thanks to the creation of working groups made up of municipal agents as of this month. The first teams are scheduled to move in in the fall of 2022 and that of the following teams in the fall of 2023. A visit has already been organized on September 30 with some of the agents affected by this move.
