“Kazakhstan and Russia have environmental problems. This is a high level of pollution of air, water, soil, accumulation of radiation and industrial waste.
According to him, for their decisions the governments have signed seven agreements in the field of ecology, biodiversity conservation, joint use of transboundary objects. “The agreements are being systematically implemented. He drew attention to the fact that the catastrophic shallowing of the Ural River poses a serious threat to residents of the border regions of Kazakhstan and Russia.
Tokayev uses reserves in the Caspian Sea for the Caspian seal population.
“Kazakhstan and Russia have a rich and unique flora and fauna. At the same time, there is an acute issue of reducing the population of the Caspian seal, which is included in the Red Book of both countries. The possibility of creating state reserves in the northern Caspian,” Tokayev said.
