This year’s Nordic album is Danish! – Dagsavisen
The Nordic Music Prize has been awarded at Bylarm since 2010, for this year’s best album from the Nordic countries. This is the first time the prize has gone to a Danish artist. I can also get 10,000 euros to pay and I want to compete, which should focus on the value of the full album as an art form. A value that is no longer recognized by the Spellemann Prize in Norway.

Clarissa Connelly was born in Scotland but grew up in Denmark. The music on the album “The Voyager” is characterized by folk tunes from both her countries of origin, with a modern twist that has begun to attract attention in wide circles. The prize is awarded by an international jury. The reasoning is written by Stuart Maconie from the BBC, who writes that this was a perfect album for a confined year, with music “which entices you outdoors, with a fresh and radiant atmosphere, full of wonder and amazement at nature”.

Clarissa Connelly is also on the program for Bylarm, with concerts both Friday and Saturday.
The nominees from Norway were Musti (“Qoyskayga”), Nekromantheon (“The Visions of Trismegistos”) and Girl In Red (“If I Could Make It Go Quiet”). Ane Brun was nominated from Sweden with «After The Great Storm».
