The Prague court is dealing with the death of an Ostrava police officer. His colleague testified
His colleague, who was behind the wheel of a company car, testified in court as a witness. The crew, which also consisted of a policewoman, provided escorts to Prague on a fateful day and returned home. A car crashed into her vehicle from behind at great speed, behind the wheel of which sat a woman with more than two per mille of alcohol. Pavol Kikloš died on the spot, the driver and a police officer in the passenger seat suffered injuries.
The defense claims that Pavol Kikloš was not chained, but his colleague is convinced that everyone is wearing their belts. “We are always handcuffed and I know that we were all strapped in,” the blesk.cz server quoted the police officer as saying in court, adding that, according to the police, nothing in the car indicated that someone did not wear seat belts.
The driver of the company car suffered severe injuries and further operations await him, he is still working on rehabilitation. “I didn’t go for half a year, someone had to take care of me,” the server recorded the police officer’s statement. The Defender of the Law was used to sports.
“I can’t ride a bike, I can’t run, I can play tennis, I can do any sport,” he said in court. After the accident, his big dream also faded – he wanted to join the intervention unit. The accident happened last year on July 5 in Prague.
The driver had about two per mille of alcohol in her. He doesn’t remember the accident. According to him, he and his husband and children went to the pool at the time. Her husband originally began flirting with a strange woman. In anger, therefore, she began to drink alcohol. Then they went home together, where there was a heated family quarrel. Then she got into the car. On the way, she first caused a minor accident, from which she drove away. Then came a tragic impact
