After welcoming the jury of the National Council of Cities and Villages in Bloom last spring, Ville was transformed into the “4 flowers” ​​label and awarded the 2021 “Fleur d’Or” prize.

Fleur d’Or: only nine award-winning cities each year

The highest distinction of the national quality of life label for Cities and Villages in Bloom, the “Fleur d’Or” is only awarded to nine municipalities each year. While the “4 flowers” ​​label is renewed every 3 years, you have to wait 6 years to be able to compete for the “Fleur d’Or”.

The new plant and floral identity of the Annecy territory, awarded twice

Labeled “4 flowers” since 1967, distinguished “Fleur d’Or in 2015, Annecy, just like, Cran-Gevrier, Pringy and Annecy-le-Vieux (2 flowers), Meythet, Seynod (3 flowers) had regularly been distinguished by the national floral jury. Annecy was competing for the first time, as an enlarged municipality.

“This distinction, first for the new town, comes to reward the quality of the landscaping and plant enhancement work, the ideas and investment of elected officials and City officials in the service of the Annecy living environment in each of the delegated municipalities ”. A double distinction for the City of Annecy with which are associated Magali Mugnier, deputy mayor in charge of the ecological, energy and nature transition in the city, Patrick Leconte, delegate adviser for the maintenance of public spaces and the whole municipal agents from the Landscapes and Biodiversity, Urban Cleanliness and Roads and Mobility departments.

The national award ceremony will be held in Paris on December 14, 2021.
