After the SPD regional parliamentary group was constituted on September 15, 2021 and Silke Gardlo and its chairman had been elected, the deputy parliamentary group chairmen were elected in yesterday’s parliamentary group meeting.
Brian Baatzsch, Werner Backeberg, Regina Hogrefe and Frank Straßburger were elected for this position. With Brian Baatzsch and Werner Backeberg, two newly elected parliamentary group members are now members of the group’s executive committee. Regina Hogrefe and Frank Straßburger belong to the last regional assembly, but are also new to the parliamentary group’s executive committee.
In addition, the SPD regional parliamentary group will propose Christina Schlicker as chairwoman of the regional assembly and Petra Rudszuck as deputy regional president.
Christina Schlicker has been a member of the regional election assembly since 2013 and was the parliamentary group leader in the previous electoral term. Petra Rudszuck was the new regional president in the previous electoral term.
“I am looking forward to working with the newly elected board, the parliamentary group will be well represented in the Hanover region,” said Silke Gardlo.
