Skanska has divested an office building in Kiruna,
The office building, called Börsen H1, will be located on the town hall square in the new Kiruna center, next to the town hall. The project, which is being developed and built by Skanska, is a natural continuation of Skanska’s involvement in Kiruna’s urban development. Skanska is building the new hotel in the city and there are plans for further projects in the Börsen district in the future.
With high sustainability requirements regarding climate, energy performance and material selection as well as waste and water management, the office building will have a very low environmental impact. The building will be equipped with roof-mounted solar cells with the goal of being self-sufficient in property electricity. The intention is for the H1 Exchange to be certified in accordance with LEED Gold.
Construction will begin during the fourth quarter of 2021 and will be completed in 2023.
