San Marino. Titan Cup, all in the balance after the first leg of the round of 16

Sugar Mizzy September 30, 2021

“Balance reigns after the first ninety minutes of the Coppa Titano, which – net of the success of the Pennarossa on Tuesday evening – does not deliver large victories, rather only limited successes and three draws.

These conditions will postpone the verdicts about the passage to the quarter-finals to the last week of October, from where the journey of the reigning champion La Fiorita will start. The Gialloblù will face the winner of the comparison between Faetano and Cailungo, crossed last night in Montecchio in the only race without nets of this midweek cup round. Goals that were not lacking in Domagnano, where the homonymous Giallorossi club folded the resistance of San Giovanni in time. The former Fancellu’s goal blows up the bank, scoring in the fourth minute of injury time. Previously, Olivieri and Grechi had also rejoiced – the latter for the momentary equalizer of San Giovanni less than a quarter of an hour from the final whistle -. For Dolcini’s men the impossibility of defending in numerical parity over the course of time weighed on: Berardi’s expulsion in the 89th minute was decisive for the victory over the woolen thread of Domagnano.

They got marked three networks also in Acquaviva, where Luigi Bizzotto’s Virtus capitulated under the blows of a winning Murata after two narrow defeats in the championship. The Bianconeri’s victory matured in the same form, after an initial advantage of two goals. The scoring of the team of Fabbri arrived at the quarter of an hour, thanks to the acute of Bernardi, and close to the hour of play. The doubling bears the signature of Cangini, who scored from the spot. As well as Joel Apezteguia: the former Tre Fiori striker, today at Virtus, has halved the disadvantage from eleven meters thus keeping everything open for the return leg. Network of capital importance for the neroverdi, who remained outnumbered by the expulsion of Castiglioni, just on the occasion of the penalty that gave Murata the momentary.

Still dry of victories in the season Thunderbolt, which rings the second consecutive draw impacting 1-1 with Libertas. After an hour of goalless play, Armando Aruci repairs the score by beating Bicchiarelli on a penalty kick. Close draw, operated by Eric Fedeli, who scored in the 66th minute. The good moment of the Fiorentino continues, carried away by the extraordinary one of Mohamed Ben Kacem. The rossoblù forward also scored in the Coppa Titano derby against Tre Fiori, signing his fifth goal in three outings. The one scored last night at Federico Crescentini earned them the draw with the cousins, who moved to Conduit after just four turns of hands. The same served to Malandri’s men to balance a match without further scoring in the following 82 minutes of play. And if this happened, it was also due to the imprecision of Ferraro himself who – ten from the end – kicked the penalty kick of the potential Gialloblù success is skyrocketing.
